The Gallery is in two buildings linked by a garden. The EASTON ROOMS is a lively 'Crafts Council Listed' gallery selling all the best in paintings, prints, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glass, wood, metalwork and sculpture by local contemporary artists and craftspeople. The STORMONT STUDIO exhibits the Gallery's Permanent Collection, displayed in rotation. It specialises in 19th century and 20th century British art and includes works by Burra and Nash, both of whom lived in Rye. Also Bell, Epstein, Grant, Hilton, Hitchens, Lowry, Nevinson, Piper, Sutherland, Whistler and many others. Additionally, the Stormont Studio is used for special exhibitions, workshops, lectures and events.
